Medical Services Q&A

What services are included in the pediatric membership?
How long are routine well-child check-ups?

Membership covers all wellness visits, unlimited sick visits, certain in-office labs, direct access to your pediatrician via text or call, and basic in-office procedures without additional co-pays. See membership agreement for more details.

We schedule up to 60 minutes for each well-child visit. This gives us ample time to discuss growth, development, nutrition, and any concerns you may have without feeling rushed.

Do you provide home visits?
Are vaccinations included in the membership?

We do not provide home visits at this time, but it is possible we will add this service at some point in the future.

While we provide the administration of vaccines, the cost of the vaccines themselves is typically covered by your insurance through a local pharmacy or health department.

Can I access my pediatrician directly for urgent concerns?
What protocols are followed for routine visits?

Absolutely. Membership includes direct communication with your doctor via secure text or phone, ensuring peace of mind when medical questions arise.

We follow evidence-based AAP guidelines, focusing on comprehensive physical exams, evaluation of growth and development and open dialogue about your child's physical health and emotional well-being.

Same-Day Sick Visit Policy

We prioritize urgent care for our members. If your child is unwell, we offer same-day or next-day sick visits. Most of the time we will be able to offer same day visits, either in person or via telemedicine. Because we maintain a smaller patient panel, we ensure you have ready access to your pediatrician when it matters most. You may call the office to request an appointment, submit a request form (via the button below), or send an appointment request via the practice's messaging app.

If you are unsure whether your child needs to be seen, message the physician via the Spruce app.

How do I book a routine check-up?

Members can book well-child visits by calling the office or by sending an appointment request via our website. These unhurried appointments last up to 60 minutes to ensure all your questions are answered.

What is the process for rescheduling?

We understand that life happens. You can reschedule your appointment through the portal or by texting us directly. We request at least 24 hours' notice to allow other families to utilize the time slot.

Is there a cancellation fee?

As a membership-based practice, we do not charge typical insurance-style copays or cancellation fees. However, frequent no-shows may limit your ability to book future same-day slots.

Can I book a meet-and-greet?

Absolutely! We encourage new families to schedule a complimentary visit to meet our doctor and see the office before joining the practice. You can book this by calling our office or by submitting a meet and greet request form.

Billing & Insurance Information

We aim for complete transparency in our financial relationships. Here is what you need to know about our membership model and insurance compatibility.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not bill insurance for our office visits. However, your insurance can still be used for outside labs, imaging, and specialist visits.

How does membership work?

Our Direct Primary Care model uses a simple monthly membership fee that covers most of your child's primary care needs with no co-pays.

What are the payment methods?

We accept major credit cards and ACH bank transfers through our secure membership management portal for automated monthly billing.

Is there a sign-up fee?

There is a one-time enrollment fee per child (capped per family) to cover the initial record review and onboarding process.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time with a 30-day notice. Please note that re-enrollment fees may apply if you rejoin later.

Are HSA/FSA plans accepted?

Many patients use HSA or FSA funds for their membership. We recommend consulting with your plan administrator for confirmation that you may use yours for the membership.

Office Policies & Procedures

What are your standard office hours?

Our office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Routine office hours are subject to change periodically. Temporary changes will be indicated on our social media and Google Business pages.

How do I reach the pediatrician after hours?

Membership includes direct access to your doctor. For urgent concerns after hours, you can call or text the doctor directly using the practice's messaging app. For non-urgent issues, please contact us during regular business hours. For life-threatening emergencies, always dial 911 immediately.

What apps or methods should I use for non-urgent communication?

We utilize secure communication platforms for messaging and sharing records. Upon joining, you will be invited to our patient portal and communication app, designed specifically for HIPAA-compliant, direct parent-doctor connection.

What are your health and safety protocols?

Your child’s safety is our priority. We maintain a clean and tidy environment with strict sanitization protocols between unhurried visits. Because we see fewer patients daily, exposure to other illnesses is significantly minimized compared to traditional clinics.
